Toward the end of his book of prophecy, Isaiah focuses on Jesus' suffering, on the Jews who would be exiled, and on those who would return from exile. Then we turn to 1 and 2 Peter, written by the apostle to early Christians scattered throughout Asia Minor (now Turkey) sometime in the years AD 62–67, which led up to his own martyr’s death.
